February/March Photography Workshops

Time for round two of my Photography Workshops which were a great success in October and November of 2014. If you are a keen photographer, have a new camera or just really want to know how to get the most from your DSLR then this course is for you. I have two dates available – Friday 22nd February or Sunday 1st March 2015

My course runs for 4 hours and I limit the numbers so there is only a few participants, all able to ask questions and get specific with what they want to know. We will go over the fundamentals of shooting manual with your camera and have loads of shoot time so you really feel you have grasped how to get the perfect shot.

After a delicious lunch we will look at editing and I will go through the process of bringing your photograph to life for the internet or print.

Cookbook Crush – Almond Berry Pancakes

I have had a serious cookbook crush lately and can’t get enough of finding and creating new recipes. Two of my absolute favourites at the moment are Pete Evans Family Food and Healthy Every Day. I use these two books at least 3-4 times a week when preparing a meal.

These almond and berry pancakes were a treat for breakfast and are made with such nutritious ingredients like almond meal, cinnamon and coconut flour. Team it with your favourite almond milk berry smoothie and you will not need anything else until dinner. You can find them in the Healthy Every Day Cookbook on page 17.

Photography Traditions

Last year I took on the challenge of taking a photo of my three girls together every week. I am happy to report that I succeeded with this challenge and have 52 shots of my beauties ready to print out in a photo book. Here is a look at the last shot and the first shot for 2014 – it is great to see how they have grown and changed over the year. This end of year photo has now become a bit of a tradition so here is a look a the past four years all taken in the same spot on our back patio.

Mussels in my Thermie

So who our there is a thermomix owner? I am a newbie to the termie world having only received mine just before Christmas (thanks Mum!) but I am in love! I seriously use it every day. This week we had a bit of a seafood extravaganza for dinner – while Mr A did some BBQ’ed prawns I did these amazing mussels in the termie (I think she/he needs a name).
